13 In 1945 Ernest and Elizabeth sold their house and moved to Hemet, California. There, at 1800 East Whittier, they had a ranch of 15 acres of apricots and they also had chickens in the begining (Elizabeth ('Nanny') never was so keen on the chicken part).
