     Thomas Morgan Jones was born on 11 March 1854 at Smithfield, Illinois, son of Unknown Jones and Unknown Jones. Exact town uncertain.^1,2

Thomas married Malinda Elizabeth Drummond, daughter of John Drummond and Elizabeth Jane Hasty, on 21 February 1875 at Illinois. This record can be found at the County Court Records located at Lewistown, IL.^3,4
