     Reference: 190. Myrtle Julia Bartleson was born on 10 June 1911 at Minot, North Dakota, daughter of Carl Peter Bartleson and Anna Fossĺ.³ She was baptized on 13 August 1911 at Minot.

Myrtle Julia Bartleson was enumerated with Carl Peter Bartleson on the census of 12 January 1920 at North Dakota as Myrtle Bartleson. Listed as 8 years old, cannot read and write, born in North Dakota, father and mother born in Norway, can speak English, occupation 'none'.⁴


Myrtle married Frank Claude Dilworth, son of George O. Dilworth and Belle Dilworth, on 9 July 1929.^5,1 As of 9 July 1929,her married name was Dilworth. Here is a photo of Myrtle in 1933. Myrtle was embarassed by not having gone beyond the eighth grade in school.⁵ Myrtle and son Dennis pictured with father Carl Bartleson around 1940.⁵ Here is a photo of Myrtle circa 1943. She was an attendee when Charles Burton Marsh and Mary Marsh were hosting a family gathering at Christmas time circa 1949 at Youngstown, Ohio. Jack Marsh, son of Charles, took the photograph. A note about the shirt that Dennis is wearing. This was the shirt that his Aunt Hanna bought for him in 1947 for the rodeo in Sanish, North Dakota. Dennis was riding one of the horses from the ranch, and she wanted Dennis to look like a real cowboy.⁶ She and Frank Claude Dilworth lived from 1949 to 2002 at 6134 Mary Lane Drive, San Diego, with Dennis Carl Dilworth and Karen Christine Dilworth.⁵ She attended the burial of Floyd Howard Gould on 19 April 1974 at in the El Camino Memorial Park located in San Diego, California.^7,8 Frank and Myrtle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July 1979.⁵ She attended the burial of Nell Elizabeth Miles on 15 August 1984 at San Diego.^9,10 In April 2002, Myrtle moved to an assisted living house at 789 Sky View Street, El Cajon.⁵ She died on 29 September 2002 at San Diego, California, at age 91.³ She was buried in October 2002 San Diego. Attendees included Dennis Carl Dilworth, Karen Christine Patterson, Eric James DeWitt, Michael Carl Dilworth, Carl Robert Hinds, Robert Dean Hinds, Dennis Martin Patterson, Brian Dennis Patterson, Bonnie Dilworth, Donna Louise Hinds, Sherry Lynn Dilworth and Christopher Michael Dilworth.³
