     Margaret Bernice Corwin was born on 17 July 1923 at Kansas, daughter of John Francis Corwin and Ora Emma Corwin.²

Margaret Bernice Corwin was enumerated with John Francis Corwin on the census of 3 April 1930 at 211 East Eighth Street, Hays City, Kansas, as Margaret Corwin. Listed as 6 years old, single, born in Kansas as were her mother and father. Not employed.³


Margaret married Warren Neal McCurdy, son of Neal William McCurdy and Elsie Fay Percival, in 1945. The exact date of the wedding is unknown.¹ Her married name was Margaret McCurdy.¹ At age 23, Margaret became the mother of Cheryl McCurdy on 15 August 1946 at Cheyenne, Wyoming.¹ At age 29, Margaret became the mother of Gary Warren McCurdy on 3 March 1953 at St. Anthony Hospital, 3001 Stuart Street, Denver, Colorado. Attending doctor was Nelson Goodman 3920 Tennyson St, Denver, CO.⁴ She witnessed the baptism of Gary Warren McCurdy on 11 April 1954 at Highlands Methodist Church, Denver, Colorado.⁵ She and Warren Neal McCurdy were divorced in 1961 at Ohio.¹ She was employed in procurement from 1962 to 1987 at National Air & Space Agency, Lewis Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio. Upon retirement Margaret spent winters in Florida.¹ She attended the death of Warren Neal McCurdy on 25 March 1966 at Charity Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.⁶ As of 1972,her married name was Margaret Leak.⁷

Margaret married Rex A. Leak, son of Alva V. Leak and Augusta V. Gruber, in 1972 at Cleveland, Ohio.^1,7 She went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera with Gary Warren McCurdy and Diane McCurdy circa 1992.¹ She and Rex A. Leak lived at 5869 West 224th Street, Fairview Park, Ohio 1993.⁷ She lived at 8139 Canto Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada an unknown date . It is not known how long she lived at this address.² She died at home of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease on 5 July 2002 at Las Vegas at age 78.² She was cremated on 10 July 2002 at in the Paradise Valley Crematory located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her remains were later transported for burial in Ohio.² She was buried in the Sunset Memorial Park located in North Olmstead, Ohio. Her final burial place.⁸
