     George Edward McCauley was born on 1 August 1905, son of Edward Ames McCauley and Pearl Annie Miles.³

At an early age George Edward was dressed in girl's clothes since that's what his mother wanted. George Edward taught in the Art Department at Pasadena College in California. He never married but was a well known artist. He had a lovely house in Laguna Beach that over looked the Pacific Ocean. He died of Pnemonia.⁵ [Witness] lived with Edward Ames McCauley and Pearl Annie McCauley from 1920 to 1942 at at 1131 East Maple Street, Glendale, California. In 1920, 1924, 1928, 1930, 1934, 1936, 1938, 1940 and 1942 they registered as Republicans, except that in 1934 Edward registered as a Democrat. In 1920, 1924 and 1926 George did not appear. In 1926 Pearl "Declined to State", she did not appear in 1920. In the voter list Edward is listed as a collector, Pearl as a housewife and George as a teacher (In 1928 George was listed as a student).^6,7

George Edward McCauley was enumerated with Edward Ames McCauley on the census of 7 April 1930 at Glendale as George E. McCauley. Listed as 23 years old, single, born in California, father born in Indiana, mother born in California, can read and write and speak English. Employed as an art teacher in a public school.¹⁰
He was graduated in 1943 from Claremont Graduate School, 150 East 10th Street, Claremont, California, He received a Master of Arts degree.⁹ [Witness] lived with Edward Ames McCauley and Pearl Annie McCauley from 1944 to 1954 at at 2825 Mataro Street, Pasadena, California. In 1944, 46, 48, 50 and 1954 they all registered as Republicans. In the voter list Edward is listed as retired, Pearl as a housewife and George as a teacher.¹¹ He died from injuries in a Laguna Beach automobile accident on 14 June 1964 at Pasadena at age 58.^9,3 George's obituary appeared in the Pasadena Star-News, Pasadena, California, on 17 June 1964.⁹
