Esther at age 1 and arrived as immigrants aboard the SS Ryndam from Rotterdam on 26 August 1907. She was listed as "Frida" Slomovitz, a Hebrew, married female, age 23 with no occupation. Height 4 feet, 11inches. She is unable to read or write. She was born in Ohornniczo, Hungary. Her last residence was Szlatina, Hungary. Her passage was paid for by her husband and her final destination is New York, New York to join her husband Jake Slomovitz at 223 Rivington Street. She has $5 in her possesion.3



Esther arrived as an immigrant aboard the SS Ryndam from Rotterdam with Freida Slomovitz on 26 August 1907. She was listed as "Eszti" Slomovitz, a single female, age 3 months. Her last residence was Szlatina, Hungary.3

Esther Slomovitz was enumerated with Jacob Slomovitz on the census of 6 January 1920 at 78 1/2 North Sherman Street, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, as Esther Slumovitz. Listed as 13 years old, single. Born in Hungary as were her mother and father. Spoke Jewish in her prior home. Not employed.4


Esther Slomovitz was enumerated with Jacob Slomovitz on the census of 2 April 1930 at 20 West South Street, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, as Esther Slomovitz. Listed as 23 years old, single. Born in Austria as were her mother and father. Not employed.1
She died in December 1979 at Kingston, Pennsylvania, at age 73.2
