     Maude M. Mercer was born on 11 December 1896 at Missouri, daughter of Alfred Thomas Mercer and Mary Elizabeth Thompson.³ Her married name was Maude Gould.¹

Maude married Charles E. Gould, son of Charles Edwin Gould and Bertha Rosalia Decker.² She and Charles E. Gould lived at 1081 Terrace, Muskegon, Michigan 1928. Listed as an auto mechanic at the Houston Avenue Vulcanizing Company.⁴ She and Charles E. Gould lived at 297 Amity Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan 1932. Listed as a brake mechanic.⁵ Attended a family gathering in Hemet, California circa 1949.² The family gathered at the Gould home on Stearnlee in Long Beach in 1949. Maude Gould, wife of Chas took the picture.² She was employed as a payroll and cost clerk with a coil spring manufacturer..³ Maude and Chas had no children.² She and Charles E. Gould lived at 1130 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan 1975.¹ She died of general heart disease and breast cancer on 30 August 1977 at Hackley Hospital, 1700 Clinton Street, Muskegon, Michigan, at age 80.³ She was buried on 1 September 1977 in the Oakwood Cemetery located in Muskegon, Michigan. The funeral was conducted from the Sytsema Funeral Home at 737 Apple Avenue of Muskegon.³
