He registered for the World War II draft in April 1942 at 43 South Meade Street, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He is shown as 54 years old, born in Bear Creek, PA, on 3 May 1887. He is working for Stegmaiers Brewing Company in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Mr. William Lewis of 45 Meade Street in Wilkes-Barre, is the person who will always know his address.⁹ He died on 20 August 1960 at age 73. He was buried in August 1960 in the Fern Knoll Burial Park located in Dallas, Pennsylvania.³
