Louisa and daughter Ethel moved in with the Keiths when Louisa's husband Athelbert died.3 He and Elva May Keith lived at Menlo, Iowa an unknown date . Lewis was pastor of the local Presbyterian Church.3 He was an itinerant Presbyterian minister preacher with M.D. and D.D. degrees.3,1

Family moved to Trinway, Ohio, by the church to preach on a circuit, when daughter Elva Lucille was about 4 or 5 years old. They remained there until Lewis's death.3,1 He died on 5 March 1910 at Trinway, Ohio, at age 51.3,4
