     Marija Martić was born on 14 April 1867, daughter of Ivan Martić and Ivanica Mihaljević. Status Animarum shows this 14 April date, but the wedding books shows her born 18 April 1867.3

Marija married Ivan Kovačević, son of Petar Kovačević and Tomica Vuletić, on 18 January 1892 at Zvečanje, Dalmatia. This is Ivan's second marriage.2,4,3 As of 18 January 1892,her married name was Kovačević.2,4,3 Ivan and Marija were third cousins but the Catholic Church gave them permission to marry.3 She died on 24 November 1961 at Zvečanje, Dalmatia, at age 94.3
