     Phyllis Ann Granich was born on 4 February 1932 at Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Philip Martin Granich and Zora Granich.¹ She gathered with the rest of the family with Philip Martin Granich and Zora Granich circa July 1942 at Chicago. Joey was about to leave for North Africa.² As of 9 December 1951,her married name was Phyllis Leahy.¹

Phyllis married John Leahy on 9 December 1951 at St Francis deSales Catholic Church, 102nd Street & Ewing Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.¹ At age 25, Phyllis became the mother of Patti Jo Leahy on 21 August 1957.¹ She gathered for the celebrateion of their 45th wedding anniversary with Philip Martin Granich and Zora Granich in 1963 at Rupcich Restaurant, 106th and Indianapolis Blvd, Chicago, Illinois. The party took place in the Rupcich restaurant on Indianapolis Boulevard and 106th Street.³ At age 31, Phyllis became the mother of John Leahy Jr. on 21 December 1963.¹ At age 33, Phyllis became the mother of Kevin Leahy on 12 November 1965.¹ At age 36, Phyllis became the mother of Coleen Leahy on 17 September 1968.¹ On 13 March 1987 the property at 10633 Avenue 'O' owned by Phillip and Zora Granich was transferred in equal shares to their heirs Florence Waclawik, Marie Drozda, Dorothy Rupcich, Phyllis Leahy, Lois Marciniak, Carol Bender and Genevieve Rassel. The fair market value of the property was declared to be $45,000.⁴ On 20 March 1987 the property at 10633 Avenue 'O' owned by the heirs of Phillip and Zora Granich (Florence Waclawik, Marie Drozda, Dorothy Rupcich, Phyllis Leahy, Lois Marciniak, Carol Bender and Genevieve Rassel) was transferred to Jose L. and Mae B. Reyes for an undisclosed amount of money.⁵ She and John Leahy were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on 9 December 2001.⁶ She died of lung cancer on 31 March 2002 at Dolton, Illinois, at age 70.¹ She was buried on 4 April 2002 in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery located in Calumet City, Illinois. The burial plot is in Section 18, Block 15, Lot 17.⁶
