Joseph J. Rupcich was enumerated with Petar Rupcich on the census of 18 May 1930 at 10400 Bensley Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, as Joseph J. Reupcich. Listed as 10 years old, and does not live on a farm, has attended school or college in last six months, born in Illinois whereas his mother and father were born in Yugoslavia, he can read, write and speak English, occupation is 'none', not a veteran.2
Joseph was discharged from the Army due to an injury suffered in a tank circa 1941 at Fort Knox, Kentucky.1 He was buried in November 1999 in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery located in Calumet City, Illinois.1 He died of Alzheimer's disease on 25 November 1999 at age 80.1,3
