Mihovil Marasović was born on 29 September 1816, son of Nikola Marasović and Lukrecija Siriščević.1 Mihovil Marasović was also known as Mikovila Marasović This name and Domine Glavina's name read from a Croatian baptism certificate for Andrija Marasović.3
Mihovil married Apolonija Aržić, daughter of Mihovil Aržić and Madalena Unknown, on 7 September 1843.1
Mihovil married Domenica Glavina, daughter of Josip Glavina and Antonija Unknown, on 9 February 1873. This was the second marriage for both as widow and widower. Grandmother Ivanica Prkić Marasovich has said that there more marriages by Domenica.1,4 At age 57, Mihovil became the father of Andrija Marasović on 22 November 1873 at Split, Dalmatia. The family name was really Maras but the Austria-Hungary empire forced all to add the "ovic" to their names. The Maras are believed to be major land holders somewhere. His baptism certificate, hand written in Split, dated 17 October 1901, and signed by the pastor's assistant shows his birthday and parents as shown. A godfather was shown as Ante Popovic-Dageta.5,3,6,1
He died on 24 March 1885 at age 68.2
