Ray married Emma Cooper, daughter of Luther Cooper and Ida Mae Kelly.3 He was employed with Consumers Power Company at Muskegon, Michigan.3 He and Emma Cooper lived at 816 Washington Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan 1975.3 He died of cancer of the lip on 23 May 1975 at Hackley Hospital, 1700 Clinton Street, Muskegon, Michigan, at age 80.3 He was buried on 27 May 1975 in the St. Mary's Cemetery located in Muskegon, Michigan. The funeral was conducted from the Young Funeral Home at 1102 Terrace Street of Muskegon.3
