My dears!
I didn’t know anything about you until I came to Split. I met Mate there and he told me that you write to each other. We talked about you a lot. I was surprised when I saw a photo of James and Dolores. I knew you had kids but I thought they were smaller, but they are all grownup and wonderful. James looks like a typical Englishman or maybe that is because he is in a sailor suit, while Dolores looks like a Dalmatian girl.
Write to me more about yourselves. Not much to say about us, nothing good. War was long and hard, we had a lot of bombing, riots and that is why we don’t have much. We suffered and edured a lot. And you cannot describe the pain and suffering.
This time I have to ask you if you could help us with some clothes and shoes, for me and for the kids. If you could we will pay you back and thank you for it.
