Split 12 of January 1989.
Dear aunt and uncle! Let me answer your letter. I have received your letter and your card and I am very happy that you are well. We are also well. Let me tell you about your grandson, he was here, Mate, his son in law and husband of Jandra went to pick him up. Our Ante drove him back to Dubrovnik. My dear aunt I cannot tell who was happier, he or us. He is so kind and we were so happy to see him. He wanted to see where his grandfather was born and where you were born (Marasoviceva street). He stayed in Split also and he had a camera so you will probably see the tape. If we had more time we would take him to see Rijeka to see Jela and Iva. He promised he would come back for his honeymoon with his wife. He said that his mother would also like to visit Yugoslavia. That would be wonderful. My dear aunt and uncle we were all very happy to see him and talk to him, if he could have stayed here longer he would learn the language. My dear aunt and uncle that is all for now. Receive greetings from the family, say hi to everybody. Greetings from Pera, Stipe and my Ankica.
Love, your Pera.
