My dear cousin!
I received your letter from 2nd of October this year and I am answering on that letter. I was glad to hear about you and about your health, it is the same with my health. I live in a place 400 km from Buenos Aires, I work for man from Zagorje (Zagorac is the word it is not translatable, part of Croatia), he is a very wealthy man, and he is the head of the merchants and people connected with finances. Mostly our people are working for him, and the chances in this land are good, there are no unions of workers, everybody works for the amount that he agreed upon. You work a lot around 18 hours a day at this time of year, and you cannot get dollars. In the city there are unions, but there is not enough work in the city and people mostly work on the land, and there are also no big factories. I work with Jure Pralija who came here a month ago, we can see the difference in your letters and we have to ask around for travel papers, as that is most difficult to get these days. I am thinking about asking around for travel papers and I have to get dollars, because before you enter USA you have to have 25 dollars with you and an invitation from a relative who lives there. So please as I can see that you care about me, please send me the invitation and if we are going to need money we will let you know. I have travel papers on different name, Ivan Pralija, brother of Jure and I have to buy tickets on that name, father Ante and mother Iva Pralija from Jukic.
Say hi to Filip Borozan, Jure Jukic and Petar Koljanin and all our people there. Greetings to you cousin, with respect
Ante Borozan and Jure Pralija
