Dear cousin first I can tell you that I am well thank God and I wish you the same. Now my dear cousin what are you writing about my brother Ante, I haven’t received any letters from him in the last nine months. Last time he wrote a letter from Argentina and he said he is working on a farm and that he is there with Jure Pralija. Now my dear cousin what are you asking about our aunt, she is not well. Her sons are not at home, Marko left, Ivan did something very sinful. Marko left four months ago, he has no children. I visited your house and I saw your mother, my aunt and she is as you left her. I asked her if she has something that she wants for you to hear, she said that everybody is good to her and that she is only sorry for Cvita. She got married to Andrija Bakovic. She said I should tell you to remember her. You wrote about Ivan Koljanin he got sick while traveling and that he is not good. They said he owes 50 000 dinars and that a bank sent him a telegram and he came back. He is no longer higher clerk. But he is not feeling like working anyway. Don’t tell Petar what I’m writing about Ivan. You asked about the harvest, hail destroyed the corn it was worse then last year but this time it didn’t destroy the wheat. Pieces of ice were on the ground fro three days in Bracevic. In your village thank God nothing. Your family had a good year, brother Mate has a store for everything. Now my dear cousin what are you writing about Andelija, she got married to Petar Muslim. Now my dear cousin don’t look at the hand writing it is the best I can, and I wont let anyone else to write because I don’t want anybody to know what I’m writing. Don’t show this letter to anyone, as he will make fun of me because of the handwriting, burn it. Now tell me if you are planning to get married there or will you come home. I got married two years ago, I have one son Ante, and he is nine months old. Nothing else is new here. Dear cousin receive greeting from me your cousin and my family, your mother and sister Cvita and new brother in law Andrije Bakovica, uncle Fran Medara and his family and from everybody else. Say hi to Filip and tell him that his family is well.
