Dear brother, I can tell you that I have received your letter which made me very happy especially when I read that you are well. You asked about your family, I have been in your house last month, on St. Peter’s day and I saw your mother, Jozo and Cvita, sister in law, little Mate and Jakov who are all well. Your Mother is the same as the day you left. Jozo told me that Mate wrote in his letter that he will come home this month for good and that he got the pension. Everybody else is well but the harvest was bad because of bad hail. People don’t remember hail this bad, not even those who are 80 years old. The amount of water destroyed almost everything. What are you writing about my brother Ante, there has been a year since I last heard from him. God knows where he is. Dear brother I got married, she is daughter of Frane, Ivana Banovac. Now my dear brother receive greetings from your brother Simun and from my family, as well from uncle Fran, aunt Marija, their son Marko and everybody else. Mother said that she is happy that you wrote to me and that she was glad when I came and read it to her. She said that Jozo never read her your letters and that is why she is glad that you wrote to me so she can hear it. Say hi to our Filip and his wife and son.
