Ogorje 31st of December 1933.
Dear brother!
First, I can tell you that we are all well thank God and we wish you the same. I received three letters from you, two of them one after another, I answered it, and I have received the third one. What are you writing and asking about what is new, nothing everything is ordinary, old, the year was bad only the wheat was good, nothing else. The problem are jobs, the factory is doing bad, low paychecks, if the state does not help people will die of hunger.
We have 3 cows, 2 donkeys, and 30 sheep enough for this year. Sisters and their families are well, aunt and her family also. I wrote you in the first letter about Jura Kalenica p. Vicko that he will die of hunger and I asked Nikola if he could to help him.
Nothing else to write about, receive a greeting from all of us, sisters and their families, aunt and her family and especially from your never forgotten brother and uncle Mate.
Please provide corrections as needed....
