Dear brother!
First I can tell you that we are all well thank God and we wish you the same, good health. Dear brother what is with you we didn’t receive any letter for six months. We received your last letter on 20 of December 1928 and after that nothing. We were worried especially our old mother, she is always asking the mailman if the letter arrived and then she is thinking what is with you. Let me write about what is new this year was bad for the wheat, zelen (I think corn) is good so far how it will be till end God knows. I wrote to you that Marta’s Ante died on 16th of September 1928. Marta’s Iva got married to Banjavan son in Bracevice. Jakov Gemusin got married to a daughter of Zehamusin from Dadica. Jurisa Stipulic from Bracevic took Odak’s Jandra maybe you don’t know her. (I didn’t understand this sentence very well) Now everyday we have an automobile, which goes to Split, Dukino Ostarije to Zlopolje and then Zlopolje Split. Dear brother I ask you to write soon so we can know how are you. If you are mad at us, please forgive us because I cannot remember if I offended you in the last letter. That is why I am asking you to write soon so our mother can rest, as she is always worried about you. Dear brother receive greetings from your mother, brother Josip, sister in law, nephew, sisters, aunt and her family and everybody you know. Now receive a greeting from me your brother Mate. I am waiting for your answer.
