Ogorje donje 26 of January 1941.
Dear brother and sister in law, first I can tell you I took a pen with my trembling hand to write to you few loving words. I have been sick for a year now, heart condition. I have received your letter after two years, which made me very happy. I am not working just fighting this condition. Josip has nine children, four sons and five daughters. Jandra, Marta i Cvita are well as are their husbands, Jandra’s son got married, his wife is daughter of Grga Kapetanovic (Grcaljevic). Uncle Marjan Vurut is still alive, but it would be better if he were dead because he cannot see or hear anything and he cannot stand up. Cousin Jure Filip Ivan and Ante and their families are well. Ante got married in Belgrade. It is very cold here from 25 of November 1940, nobody remembers winter this cold. Our cousin Nikola Kuslin got married last summer, she is from Pastinja daughter of Petar Penovic and he has a store in Vrba. Greetings to everybody, your brother, brother in law and uncle and the rest of the family. Say hi to cousin Nikola and his wife, all our friends and everybody we know. Dear sister in law write back as soon as you receive my letter bye your brother in law Mate Radja.
